This story is sure to get lost in the shuffle of Favregate, and yet is sure to be a major headache for the Packers come opening day: Johnny Jolly was arrested last week on felony drug charges. What drug, you ask? Codeine.
His drug of choice seems to be pretty clearly linked to his shoulder-surgery, and recovery, but that doesn't much matter to the NFL, or to the law. Look for a suspension to come, even if he figures out a way to keep himself out of jail.
It's hard to see this in perspective at the moment, but Cory Williams is gone, and the team was relying (too much?) on Jolly continuing his sharp improvement and playing a major role on the D-Line.
