Here's hoping there aren't too many deaths at tonight's game. For the last few days I've been thinking about the NFL's decision to let this game go forward with a 5:30 kickoff. I've realized it's probably even more valuable of a television product with the temperatures at dangerous lows. Sundown on January 20? What are you thinking?
Then again, right now it's -14. A noon kickoff would probably be even colder. It turns out the sun's no big deal after all, at least today.
We'll be sure to photograph the arctic gearing up. Mark called me out on not believing I didn't care who wins the game. He was right. I'm a little embarrassed about my soupy Lambeau tribute a few days ago. Then again, this is where we're from, so it's not so uncalled-for to get a little transcendental now and again.
